Nick Denton has worked within the retail sector in the North of England over 30 years.
He concentrates on investment and development work and has over the years advised on the acquisition and disposal of in excess of £300 million of retail investments across the North of England and the East Midlands. Clients currently include The Noble Organisation, Lidl Great Britain Ltd, Tesco Stores Ltd, Welbeck CP, David Samuel Properties, Columbia Threadneedle, Opus North, Coolsilk and Luxury Leisure. Recent deals include the disposal of a portfolio of Investments leased to Wilkos for a total consideration of circa £16 million, Development Consultancy and Disposal work for Lidl Great Britain Ltd throughout Yorkshire and the East Midlands bringing forward significant developments in Leeds at Stanningley, Armley and Garforth together with restructuring, funding and asset management advice for a property Company with a multi Million Pound High Street Portfolio.
Nick is also actively involved in the foodstore development market and has been involved in the acquisition/disposal of over 700,000 sq ft of food store space. He is currently advising Lidl on the acquisition and disposal of a number of retail development sites and in addition, Nick is continuing to advise Tesco Stores ltd on a number of disposal sites throughout the region and advice is also given to Developers and Landowners including C&W Developments, Coolsilk, Opus North and a variety of others as an active member of the professional team in promoting a wide variety of sites through the acquisition and planning process for food led development.
